Who is Orton Gillingham for?

Everyone!

Great question! The fact is this: Orton Gillingham is an effective teaching method for every struggling reader. Although this approach to reading instruction was developed for students with dyslexia, it really does work for most people because, at its core, it sees every student as an individual. Your child’s reading tutor will mindfully design each lesson plan for your specific student. Whether your student is living with special needs or is just struggling to read, this method will work. The way that this multisensory approach engages the brain and builds scaffolding makes reading achievable.

Is Orton Gillingham right for my child?

Have you ever been told by a teacher that your child just needs to try harder? Or maybe they’ve suggested that your child is just being lazy and not applying themselves? However, you see your child trying and struggling, you know that they really are trying their hardest, but failing to thrive in a traditional reading education program.
